Accomplishments
Collaborations are an indicator of our success at getting care providers to embrace peer-to-peer services. A sample of our current partnerships:
- A joint program with RISE, a mental-illness self-management employability project.
- Demonstration to Maintain Independence and Employment (DMIE), a demonstration project through the State of Minnesota. We are the consumer organization, requested to participate by the State of Minnesota Department of Health; Medica and MN Employment Project are also collaborators.
- The University of Minnesota collaborates with CSN to provide consumer-based, recovery-focused mental health trainings at the University of Minnesota Medical Center, Fairview.
- Partnership with Ramsey County in launching our acclaimed Milestones to Recovery Project. Ramsey County also works with CSN to provide technical assistance to their ACT teams. This proposal is based upon the collaborations built between Ramsey County Mental Health Clinic and the CSN through the Milestones Center.
- Work with Department of Health and Human Services to create peer certification standards in support of the Peer Recovery Specialist Law.
- A majority of staff serve in leadership roles: member of the Advisory Board to the Governor on Mental Health Care, members of the Mental Health Advisory Council, and Tri-Chair of the Mental Health Legislative Network.
