About our Coordinator:
Rachel graduated this past December from the college of Saint Catherine with a degree in occupational science with a concentration in healthy communities and public policy. Before joining CSN Rachel worked as an AmeriCorps member for Rise incorporated where she worked to find meaningful employment for people who had mental health diagnoses. “I loved working for Rise but I realized that my true passion was not only to help people discover they had the power to fulfill their vocational dreams but their life dreams in general!
On Rachel’s own recovery journey from mental health issues she was taught that struggles surrounding mental health should be looked down upon and not shared with others. However, the further she went on her road to recovery she began to realize that her diagnosis could be used as a tool fulfill her passion for helping others. Therefore she is very happy, grateful and proud to be part of CSN where she feels we do not hide behind our diagnoses but proudly use them as our credential to advocate, inspire hope, promote personal wellness and remove the stigma of mental illness.
