Milestones to Recovery Peer Support
The Milestones to Recovery Peer Support Center provides a non-judgmental environment where adults with psychiatric diagnoses develop skills and strategies to manage their wellness. Located within Ramsey County Mental Health Clinic, Milestones is staffed by Peer Specialists who work with participants at the center and in the community to develop individualized wellness plans. Peer Specialists are highly trained peers who have experienced psychiatric disorders and are in recovery.
Participants in our acclaimed Milestones out-patient program attend according to their individual needs. There are no time limits or requirements and confidentiality is assured. At Milestones, our belief that recovery is self-defined and self-driven is paramount. We offer many tools to help participants on their recovery journeys including:
- WRAP
- Dual Diagnosis: Mental Illness/Chemical Dependency Support
- Peer Support
- Living Skills Training
- Support for Young Adults (18-30)
- Aftercare
In order to use the Milestones Center you need to be a Ramsey County resident receiving Medical Assistance or another support program. To learn more about Milestones or to set up an intake appointment, call 651-266-7863.
“The most effective way of providing support for clients not in acute crisis is to pair mental health consumers who are functioning well…with those who are not doing so well at the moment. Those who have recovered to full strength, but still remember the challenges they encounter during recovery, are outstandingly helpful. They not only know the ropes, they also know the pitfalls. Furthermore, their success serves as a tangible encouragement to those who are currently demoralized by their own health symptoms.” - Thomas Grace, Senior Clinical Psychologist, Ramsey County Human Services
